While it is beyond doubt that Lee Harvey Oswald was innocent, one would not get that impression from the legacy that has been written about him.
Revisiting the subject through a unique lens, "Unwilling or Unable to Report the Truth" is not a comprehensive reinvestigation into the matter, but an analysis of how journalism has approached - and impacted - our understanding of the assassination.

AYDA LYDIA ESCAMILLA has traveled a life path that is uniquely hers. Her journey, like those of many women, has included twists and turns due to life’s circumstances. Over the years, she loved others without reservation, including six husbands, five children (all now grown with their own families), ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous friends spanning seven decades.
Ayda’s broad ancestral roots include men and women who migrated to America from Italy, Portugal, Spain, Mexico, and the Aztec regions of Central Mexico. Some of her ancestors endured the Battle of the Alamo. Others survived life challenges dating back to the 16th century.
As a woman, Ayda endured abuse from those who claimed to love her. Not one to give up easily, Ayda, despite childhood poverty and limited opportunities, relentlessly pursued formal education, which enabled a successfulforty-year career in nursing. Now at seventy-five, she has retired and spends her days enjoying true love with her husband, Jose Abreo Acosta, caring for their home, and attending to her family’s needs.
